About 2 weeks ago (I am just late posting it), Kylen had a little play date with a little girl Elia. Elia is about 16 months old. Kylen and Elia had a wonderful time together! Elia of course is walking around everywhere, which Kylen is not yet... They had a good time though, and the following will allow you to see that! Thanks Shlee for letting us come over and hang out!
When we first got there, of course Kylen wanted down, but Elia had just woken up so she decided to sit on my lap while she woke up and checked Kylen out.
Notice!! - I caught Kylen standing there all by himself and didn't even realize it!
They are still pretty unsure about one another and having to check each other out!
Of course it didn't take long until Kylen found a cell phone to play with and he thought that he would show Elia all about it!
Kylen has a thing where he lays his head down on a blanket if you say "love on the blanket". Well here he was kind of starting to be rough with Elia wanting to grab her arm and stuff, so I said, "Love on the baby." And that's what he was trying to do. So sweet!
Of course we go back to grabbing. He still isn't doing too well about sharing... obviously! But Elia was so sweet about let him see something. Well, that was untill she found out that she could take off walking and he couldn't move that fast! :) It was too funny!

And then it was snack time with Cheerios!!!

Then of course I don't have to point out the mess that they enjoyed making. Kylen did that first, and then later on after we had picked up all the cheerios and put them on the table (trying to get them out of Kylens reach), Elia walked over there and got the bowl and came to me and dumped them all over me! I couldn't help but to laugh but it wasn't too funny since we had to pick them up again!
That messy snack time sure did keep them entertained for a while! :)
Elia decided that she was going to sport Shlee's sunglasses.
How cute is she?!?! So adorable!
Then of course Kylen had to have his turn with them!
Then Kylen figured out what was behind the curtains.... a door to outside!!! It was too hot to take them outside but Kylen and Elia sure did enjoy standing at the door and looking outside... and of course they had fun banging on the door!
Then of course back to the steps! They both loved going up and down those steps!
Kylen is one smart cookie too! This play date with Elia only lasted about an hour and a half... well, Elia being able to walk and all has learned to scoot down the steps on her bottom. Well, when we got home... the next 48 hours we had to break Kylen of thinking that he could do that too! He has always been so good about turning around and scooting backwards down the stairs on his knees, but after he saw Elia scoot on her bottom, he thought he could too! He is a very quick learner from what we can tell, which can be good in some cases and bad in some cases. :)

Next thing he got in to.... my keys!
Look at that serious face! You know he is serious when he puckers those lips out like that!
All in all, Elia and Kylen had a wonderful time together! It was great to see him having fun with someone close to his age! Hope Elia and Kylen can get together again sometime soon!
